Planning Your Visit – Uluru 2027

We look forward to welcoming our Sahaja Yoga brothers and sisters from Australia and around the world to Shri MahaGanesha Puja at Uluru from Friday 10 to Monday 13 September 2027.

To help you prepare for this very special collective gathering, we have brought together the key travel and practical information you may need when planning your visit.

The event dates, venue and collective accommodation for Shri MahaGanesha Puja at Uluru are now confirmed. We are currently finalising the Program, Seminar cost and Puja Dakshina, with further details to be shared as arrangements are completed.

If you are planning to attend, please register now. Registration will help us plan for the collective and, importantly, ensure that we can keep you informed of new information and important updates as we move closer to the event.

When registering, you can also indicate whether you require collective accommodation, whether you are interested in participating in the Realise Alice Springs Tour, and your preferred collective travel option to and from Uluru.

Important Dates

  • Shri MahaGanesha Puja – Uluru

  • Realise Alice Springs Tour with Music of Joy
    Saturday 4th to Thursday 9th September 2027

For those wishing to participate, the Realise Alice Springs Tour will take place before the Uluru gathering, bringing Music of Joy, music and meditation programs to Central Australia.

Following the tour, participants will have several days to make their way from Alice Springs to Uluru in preparation for Shri MahaGanesha Puja.

Getting to Uluru

Uluru is located in Australia’s Northern Territory, approximately 450 km by road from Alice Springs.

The closest airport is Ayers Rock Airport (AYQ), also known as Connellan Airport, located approximately 10–15 minutes from Ayers Rock Resort at Yulara.

Direct flights operate from several Australian cities, although airline schedules for September 2027 may change. We recommend checking current flight schedules before making your booking.

Those travelling via Alice Springs can also travel to Uluru by road. Allow approximately 5–6 hours for the journey, depending on stops and conditions.

Collective Travel Options

We are exploring collective travel options to and from Uluru, including arrangements for those participating in the Realise Alice Springs Tour before Shri MahaGanesha Puja.

Depending on the number of people interested, possible collective travel arrangements may include flights, coach transport or shared/group cars. These arrangements are still being considered and will depend on registrations, availability and costs.

When completing your registration, please indicate your preferred method of travel. This will help us understand the collective’s requirements and determine which travel options may be practical to arrange.

You are also welcome to make your own travel arrangements if you prefer.

Further information about any collective transport arrangements will be provided as plans are finalised – so please ensure you register so we can keep you up to date.

Accommodation

Collective accommodation has been arranged at Ayers Rock Campground, part of Ayers Rock Resort at Yulara.

A limited number of 48 bunk beds will be available for the collective on a first-come, first-served basis.

Other accommodation options are available throughout Ayers Rock Resort for those who prefer private accommodation. These should be booked directly with the accommodation provider.

Accommodation for the Puja weekend covers the nights of:

Friday 10 September, Saturday 11 September & Sunday 12 September 2027

Departure is Monday 13 September 2027.

We strongly recommend arranging your accommodation early, particularly if you require private accommodation.

Arriving at Ayers Rock Resort

Ayers Rock Resort currently provides complimentary airport coach transfers between Ayers Rock Airport and the Resort for eligible Resort guests.

The journey takes approximately 10–15 minutes.

A free shuttle also operates around Ayers Rock Resort, connecting the accommodation areas, campground, Town Square and other Resort facilities.

Please note that the Resort shuttle does not travel into Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

Transport arrangements for our collective program will be advised as plans are finalised.

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park

Uluru is located within Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, a World Heritage-listed living cultural landscape.

Visitors to the National Park may require a National Park Pass. As entry conditions and prices may change before September 2027, please check the current Parks Australia information closer to your visit.

We ask everyone attending to respect the cultural significance of Uluru and the wishes, traditions and guidelines of the Anangu Traditional Owners.

Weather – What to Bring

September is generally a beautiful time to visit Central Australia, but desert temperatures can vary considerably between day and night.

Days can be warm and sunny, while mornings and evenings may be cool. Conditions can also change, so please check the weather forecast shortly before travelling.

We suggest bringing:

  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Warm clothing for early mornings and evenings
  • Light clothing for warmer daytime conditions
  • A sun hat and sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • A reusable water bottle
  • A small daypack

If participating in walks, please ensure you have adequate drinking water.

Walking Around Uluru

Our proposed program includes a collective walk around Uluru.

The complete Uluru Base Walk is approximately 10 km, so participants should consider their own fitness and mobility when deciding how much of the walk they wish to undertake.

Realise Alice Springs Tour

Before Shri MahaGanesha Puja, Sahaja Yogis are invited to participate in the Realise Alice Springs Tour from 4th to 9th September 2027.

The tour will bring Music of Joy, music and meditation to Central Australia, providing an opportunity to share Sahaja Yoga with the wider community.

If you would like to participate in the Realise Alice Springs Tour, please indicate your interest when completing your registration so we can keep you informed as further details are finalised.

Registration

All Australian and international guests planning to attend Shri MahaGanesha Puja at Uluru are requested to register.

When registering, you can also indicate whether you:

  • Require one of the collective bunk beds.
  • Wish to participate in the Realise Alice Springs Tour.
  • Would like to receive further information as arrangements are finalised.
  • Indicate your preferred collective travel option to and from Uluru.

The Seminar cost and Puja Dakshina are currently being finalised and will be advised at a later date.

Visas

We warmly welcome our Sahaja Yoga brothers and sisters from around the world who are planning to join us in Australia for Shri MahaGanesha Puja at Uluru, from Friday 3 to Monday 6 September 2027.

If you are travelling to Australia from overseas, please make sure you have the appropriate Australian visa or travel authority before you travel.

Please Plan Early

Uluru is a remote destination and September is a popular time to visit Central Australia.

We therefore recommend planning your journey well in advance, particularly your:

Flights • Accommodation • Car hire • Travel arrangements

As the event is still some time away, some airline schedules, transport services, prices and National Park arrangements for September 2027 are not yet available or may change.
